📖 This Week's Story

Today we're going to learn about our favorite words from Jesus! Throughout our lessons, we've heard many beautiful words that Jesus spoke to us. Let's remember some of them together. Jesus said many wonderful things when He walked on earth. He said 'I love you' to everyone He met. He told the children, 'Come to me, little ones!' When people were hungry, Jesus said 'I will feed you.' When they were sick, He said 'Be healed!' When they were afraid, Jesus said 'Do not fear.' Can anyone tell me what Jesus called Himself when He said 'I am the Good Shepherd'? That's right! Jesus is our shepherd who takes care of us like sheep. Jesus also taught us to pray beautiful words: 'Our Father who art in heaven.' These are the words we say in our Maronite prayers every Sunday. He said 'Blessed are the peacemakers' and 'Love your enemies.' Jesus told us 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.' When Jesus rose from the dead, what were His first words to His friends? He said 'Peace be with you!' - the same words we hear in our Maronite liturgy. Jesus gave us the most important words of all when He said 'This is my body' and 'This is my blood' at the Last Supper. These words make our Holy Qurbono so special. All of Jesus's words are full of love, hope, and joy. They teach us how to live and how to love God and others. These are truly our favorite words because they come from Jesus, who loves us more than anyone else ever could. When we remember Jesus's words, we carry His love in our hearts every day.
