📖 This Week's Story

Today we're going to remember some of our favorite Bible stories that we've learned together! Let's think about all the wonderful people God has shown us. Remember Noah? God asked him to build a big ark to save all the animals from the flood. Noah trusted God completely. Can anyone tell me what animals might have been on the ark? Then there's Moses, who led God's people out of Egypt. God parted the Red Sea so they could walk through safely! And little David, who wasn't afraid of the giant Goliath because he knew God was with him. We learned about Daniel, who prayed to God even when it was dangerous, and how God protected him in the lions' den. And Queen Esther, who was brave and saved her people. But our most important story is about Jesus! He was born in Bethlehem, taught people about God's love, healed the sick, and died on the cross to save us. Then He rose from the dead on Easter morning! In our Maronite tradition, we remember these stories every time we celebrate the Divine Liturgy. We also learned about Mary, Jesus's mother, who said 'yes' to God. And the apostles who followed Jesus everywhere. Can anyone remember the names of some apostles? All these stories teach us that God loves us very much. He wants us to trust Him, be brave, help others, and follow Jesus. Every story shows us how to live as good Christians. The most beautiful thing is that these aren't just old stories - God is still with us today! He loves each of you just as much as He loved Noah, David, and all the heroes of faith. Remember, you can be part of God's story too!
