📖 This Week's Story

Today we're going to learn about one of Jesus's most amazing miracles - healing a man who couldn't see! This wonderful story shows us God's love and power. One day, Jesus was walking with His disciples when they saw a man sitting by the roadside. This man had been blind since he was born - he had never seen the beautiful world around him, never seen a sunset, or his family's faces. The disciples wondered why this happened to him. But Jesus said something important: this man's blindness would help show God's amazing power! Can anyone tell me what you think Jesus might do to help this blind man? Jesus did something very special. He bent down and made mud with His spit and dirt from the ground. Then He gently put the mud on the blind man's eyes. Jesus told him, 'Go wash in the pool of Siloam.' The man trusted Jesus completely and went to wash his face. When the water washed away the mud - miracle! - he could see perfectly for the first time in his life! Imagine his joy! He ran through the streets telling everyone about Jesus. People couldn't believe it was the same man who used to sit and beg. What do you think the man felt when he first saw Jesus's face? In our Maronite tradition, we remember that Jesus is the Light of the World who opens our eyes to God's love. Just like Jesus healed this man's blindness, He wants to heal our hearts and help us see His goodness all around us. When we pray and trust in Jesus, He performs miracles in our lives too!
